A Nursing Assistant I is needed for Acute Care Cardiology and Nephrology Unit - 3 West
Specialties include:
End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD);
Post Renal or Heart Transplant;
Chest Pain
- Pre and Post Cardiac Catheter;
Pacemaker/ AICD placement; and Autoimmune/Connective Tissue Disorders.

This is a 36 hours per week position; working 12 hour NIGHT shift (7pm-7:30am) with weekend and holiday rotation. Manager/department may change the shift based on the needs of the department. This position qualifies for an extensive benefit package including PTO hours, which are accrued based on the number of worked hours. This position requires the ability to attend the required weeklong hospital orientation offered every two weeks.
Orientation
Schedule:
Monday and Tuesday
- In person from 8am to 4pm;
Wednesday - 8am to 10am Virtual and in person from 1pm to 5 pm; and Thursday and Friday
- Virtual
Summary:
Provides routine direct and indirect patient care in a hospital, clinic or home health care setting. All work performed is under the direct supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
Education Requirements:
- None required as long as all other position requirements are met.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
- Listed as Nursing Assistant I with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Professional Experience Requirements:
- Prefer six (6) months of nursing assistant experience
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
- Fluent in verbal and written English language and able to develop basic computer skills.
