American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy outpatient clinic position requiring NC or compact RN license and at least one year of nursing experience.
Details- Outpatient GI Multispecialty Surgery Clinic setting within a hospital system
- Provides care across pre-op, post-op, burn, wound, GI acute care, and plastics areas
- Performs outpatient GI procedures including bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, endo stent placement, esophageal dilation, esophageal varices and banding, EGD hot and cold biopsy, and PEG tube insertion
- Responsible for patient prep, starting IVs, specimen handling, and sedation administration/recovery
- Day shift schedule from 8:00am to 5:00pm, 5 days per week, 40 hours weekly
- No weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements
- Active RN license in North Carolina (NC or compact)
- BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required; ACLS also required per department compliance
- Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing program required; BSN or MSN preferred
- Minimum one year of nursing experience required; two years required if primarily outpatient background
- Experience caring for patients with complex medical, psychosocial, and safety needs
- Strong communication, discharge planning, and patient education skills
- Delivers nursing care across the full patient care process including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
- Participates in unit performance improvement activities and professional development
- Demonstrates cultural competency and sensitivity in planning patient care
- Maintains a safe, clean, and secure clinical environment
