The O’Brien lab seeks a postdoctoral researcher to investigate the influence of neuro‑vascular and environmental factors on kidney development and disease outcomes. The lab studies cellular crosstalk and signaling that influences developmental processes, and how genetic or environmental perturbations alter cellular programs. The research also explores cellular crosstalk and programs that influence kidney repair post‑injury. Methods include genetic mouse models and iPSC‑derived kidney organoids, alongside physiological and molecular analyses with advanced imaging techniques.
