Research Scientist, Data Scientist
Position Summary
The Department of Genetics seeks a Postdoctoral Research Associate to develop innovative methods for linking environmental data, clinical research data, and electronic health records in a secure cloud environment to support biomedical research. Responsibilities include refining clinical data models, developing ingest and QA/QC pipelines, and supporting geospatial data visualization across cloud and on‑premises environments. Human subjects research training is required.
Minimum Education and Experience RequirementsPh.D. in any STEM field.
Required Qualifications , Competencies, and Experience- Experience with analysis, management, or integration of geospatial environmental data.
- Experience with collaborative programming in Git Hub using Python.
- Ability to work with a geographically distributed team.
- Ph.D. in any STEM field (preferred).
- Experience with geocoders.
- Experience with clinical research data.
- Experience incorporating agentic AI into scientific research workflows.
- Experience with data standards and data schemas.
- On‑site work (preferred).
