The Philosophy, Politics and Economics Program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is recruiting for a Postdoctoral Fellow. The position is designed to support a talented PPE scholar, primarily serving as researcher and repository manager for the PPE Research Consortium, a $3.2m grant project aimed at developing an accessible research infrastructure. The candidate will contribute through their own research, teach one PPE course each academic year, and engage with the active PPE research community.
The appointment is for an initial year with possible renewal for up to two additional years, contingent upon performance review, available funding, and Program Director approval.
PhD in philosophy, political science, economics, or another area directly connected to PPE.
Required Qualifications , Competencies, and ExperiencePhD in philosophy, political science, economics, or another area directly connected to PPE.
Preferred Qualifications , Competencies, and Experience- An active interest in and engagement with research on social and political institutions that benefits from integrating philosophical, political science, and economic tools.
- Research focused on PPE.
- Teaching experience.
- Experience and comfort working with databases and interest in designing and building a repository of PPE-related material.
- Outstanding capacity to work well with others in teams.
