The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications for its Carolina Cancer Nanotechnology Training Program (C-CNTP), an NIH/National Cancer Institute (NCI)-sponsored postdoctoral training programme focused on cancer nanotechnology.
The programme brings together 32 faculty members from 14 departments across three schools, representing physical and materials sciences, biomedical engineering, basic biomedical sciences, pharmaceutical sciences and clinical research. Its interdisciplinary structure enables trainees to investigate cancer-related challenges at the interface of nanoscience, engineering and biomedical research.
Trainees participate in a mentored research programme in which a physical scientist and a biomedical scientist jointly guide the research project over a two-year period. The programme also includes workshops and courses designed to broaden participants' understanding of cancer nanotechnology and its addition to research training, the programme supports outreach activities that communicate cancer nanotechnology concepts to the university community and the wider public.
