Position Summary:

The UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, founded in 1975, is one of 51 National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated comprehensive cancer centers in the country. The Center’s mission is to reduce cancer occurrence and death in North Carolina and the nation through research, treatment, training and outreach.

Within two of Lineberger’s research programs (Cancer Prevention and Control, and Cancer Epidemiology), over 70 faculty researchers conduct groundbreaking and nationally recognized population science research.

The MaTRIC Project Manager position will manage efforts for 2-3 federally or privately funded cancer-related, population sciences projects. The position is part of the Lineberger Cancer Center’s MaTRIC (Managing Teams, Research and Integrated Coordination) Program, which provides two services: (1) centralized project management services for Population Science researchers; and (2) best practices and training on effective project and financial management for research projects at UNC.

In its study management (primary) role, the position will serve a critical role and act as the primary point of contact in the communication and coordination among internal study partners and assure the timely implementation of research activities related to the project.
