What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
- Carry and handle authorized firearms and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal training, licensing requirements, and post orders, using sound judgment and restraint.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, ATM and cash-handling areas, parking areas, and perimeter points, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
- Control access at doors, gates, and restricted areas by verifying identification, monitoring visitor entry, issuing badges when required, and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
- Monitor alarm panels, cameras, and other security-related systems, and respond to activations by assessing conditions, communicating updates, and taking actions consistent with post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, suspicious behavior, medical events, and fire or facility alarms.
- Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift documentation, and communicate pertinent information during shift transitions.
- Provide escort support for employees, vendors, and/or customers when requested, including during opening and closing procedures or movement to and from parking areas.
- Coordinate with on-site management and local law enforcement and/or emergency services as directed, preserving the scene and information for follow-up.
- Conduct checks for hazards and security-related concerns such as unsecured doors, damaged locks, malfunctioning lighting, and unauthorized persons, and report findings through the proper channels.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 2+ years' law enforcement/military police/corrections experience.
- Possess an armed guard card/license.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Pepper spray certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
