Overview
This position is a member of the Life Safety/Electronics‑Specialty Shop team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of critical safety and monitoring systems across campus.
Responsibilities- Conduct routine and preventive maintenance inspections of electronic systems including:
- Life Safety Systems
- Fire Detection and Suppression Systems
- Security Systems
- CCTV (Closed‑Circuit Television) Systems
- Equipment Monitoring Systems
- Other miscellaneous electronic systems and subsystems
- Install, maintain, and modify fire detection and suppression systems, life safety equipment, card access systems, CCTV, and equipment monitoring tools.
- Respond to repair requests and troubleshoot electronic components to maintain peak system performance.
- Coordinate with other teams and vendors to ensure timely inspections and installations.
- Attend non‑revenue generating sporting events (free).
- Experience working with security systems and CCTV systems.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot electronic systems.
- Knowledge of safety codes and regulations related to life safety systems preferred.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, contractors, and vendors.
- Experience working with fire alarm systems.
