/Management Preferences This position is located at Pamlico Correctional Institution in Bayboro, NC. Thisis a medium custody facility housing approximately 575 male offenders. Reporting to a Correctional Programs Supervisor this position is responsible for carrying a caseload of offenders, which involves supportivecounseling, conducting assessments, developing case plans, answering and following up on offenderquestions and problems.

Providing recommendations to the classification committee.

Assisting in coordinating major or specialized programs for the rehabilitation of offenders, such as offender work assignments, work release, education or recreation.

Planning and coordinating transition (re-entry) prior to parole or release into the community.

Documented knowledge of supportive counseling techniques.

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits.

Meet Criminal Justice Standards requirements (12 NCAC 09G .0302)
Pass a criminal background check

Produce a negative drug screening result

Successfully complete medical and psychological evaluations

Possess a valid driver’s license
