Under this partnership, University Temporary Services (UTS) provides exclusive temporary staffing services to UNC-Chapel Hill and NC State, employing candidates to work as temporary employees in a variety of jobs on both campuses. Positions vary in length from several days to several months and we offer part-time and full-time schedules.
The primary responsibility of this position is to support the operations of the department by efficiently handling incoming and outgoing property. This includes loading and unloading items, stocking shelves, and ensuring accurate inventory management. The role also involves assisting customers with property viewings and purchases, optimizing warehouse space utilization, maintaining communication across departments, and upholding cleanliness and organization standards. The individual must be capable of safely lifting up to 50 lbs.

- Load and unload Surplus/Warehouse items, ensuring proper handling and organization.
- Receive and inspect shipments, stock shelves, and verify inventory accuracy.
- Assist customers with property viewings and facilitate the transfer of purchased items.
- Coordinate the placement of property to maximize warehouse space efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with management and other departments regarding warehouse operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and Surplus Property areas.
- Safely lift and move items up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Management PreferencesMinimum 1 year of experience preferred.
Special Physical/Mental RequirementsMust be able to lift 50 pounds continually through the day with or without reasonable accommodation.
