- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of 2–6 accounting professionals.
- Oversee daily workflows, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to deadlines.
- Maintain composure under pressure and provide training, performance feedback, and support for staff development.
- Act as payroll processing backup.
- Lead and coordinate all month‑end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and adjustments.
- Perform and review key account reconciliations, including cash, inventory, AP, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of the general ledger.
- Oversee inventory accounting, including cycle counts, cost adjustments, and inventory reconciliations.
- Review AP Aging and vendor reconciliations; support resolution of vendor issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and reporting requirements.
- Assist in the development of the annual budget, working closely with department leaders.
- Support forecasting activities and help identify trends or areas requiring corrective action.
- Analyze financial results and provide variance explanations.
- Assist with quarterly and annual reporting requirements.
- Help other staff members and management as needed.
- Coordinate with other departments to keep workflow efficient, accurate, and effective.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervising staff.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control best practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment.
