What You Will Do
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of 2–6 accounting professionals.
  • Oversee daily workflows, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to deadlines.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and provide training, performance feedback, and support for staff development.
  • Act as payroll processing backup.
  • Lead and coordinate all month‑end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and adjustments.
  • Perform and review key account reconciliations, including cash, inventory, AP, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of the general ledger.
  • Oversee inventory accounting, including cycle counts, cost adjustments, and inventory reconciliations.
  • Review AP Aging and vendor reconciliations; support resolution of vendor issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and reporting requirements.
  • Assist in the development of the annual budget, working closely with department leaders.
  • Support forecasting activities and help identify trends or areas requiring corrective action.
  • Analyze financial results and provide variance explanations.
  • Assist with quarterly and annual reporting requirements.
  • Help other staff members and management as needed.
  • Coordinate with other departments to keep workflow efficient, accurate, and effective.
What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervising staff.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control best practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment.
