Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients for swallowing disorders and communication/cognitive impairments, utilizing a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
  • Establish treatment goals and develop and implement appropriate Speech Pathology treatment programs based upon a full clinical evaluation.
  • Provide rehabilitative services to patients under specific medical orders as part of a coordinated team.
  • Participate in clinical conferences to share and coordinate the plan of care for patients.
  • Treat residents one on one so each patient receives individualized attention through private treatment sessions with a functional-based treatment approach.
  • Individualize treatment sessions to meet each patient’s unique needs.

Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree from an accredited graduate program in speech‑language pathology.
  • Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), or the ability to obtain one prior to beginning employment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, fiscal, and clinical skills.
