What You Will Do:

• Provide safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using nursing interventions in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.
• Provide patient care/function in a primary scrub position.
• Assist with technical responsibilities in assigned operative procedures.
• Assure appropriate instruments/supplies are present and in proper working condition.
• Provide labeled medications with correct doses on the sterile field.
• Support the operative team, includes following patient care hand off protocol.
• Actively participate in the quality improvement process.
• Involved in learning and self-improvement.
• Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  
  Graduated Accredited Surg Tech Program
• Certifications:
  
  Certified Surg Tech preferred but not required
• Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  Thorough knowledge of asepsis, instrumentation, suture and surgical procedures. Use a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient care needs and prescribed medical therapies. Good communication skills Ability to take direction and work in a team environment

  Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required within 90 Days)
