Description
POSITION PURPOSE/SUMMARYUnder the direction of the Clinical Supervisor, the Clinical Therapist provides comprehensive mental health/SUD treatment and prevention services to clients and their families in the home, community, and office settings for Family Pride of Northeast Ohio, Inc.

- Meets agency direct service expectations.
- Conduct a comprehensive diagnostic assessment with the client and family members to identify the client’s mental health and/or SUD needs and overall strengths.
- Develop and implement individualized, person-centered treatment plans in collaboration with client and family members.
- Provide effective, evidence-based individual, family, and/or group therapy and prevention services to children, adolescents, and adults.
- Deliver clinically appropriate interventions that support symptom reduction, skill development, emotional regulation, and overall functioning.
- Provide crisis intervention and safety planning when clinically indicated.
- Monitor client and treatment progress and update treatment plans according to agency and payer requirements.
- Coordinate care with internal treatment team members, family members, and community partners on behalf of client needs.
- Complete all required documentation accurately, on time, and in full compliance with agency policies, regulatory standards, medical necessity criteria, treatment plan expectations, and billing expectations.
- Meet the required agency weekly scheduling and direct service requirements.
- Utilize supervision to review caseload composition and capacity, service frequency, client acuity, and engagement patterns to ensure a well-balanced caseload, prevent burnout, and maintain quality of care.
- Collaborate with administrative and billing team members regarding billing and scheduling concerns, as needed, to support continuity of services and financial sustainability.
- Maintain active licensure (including NPI and CAQH) and all certifications in compliance with Medicaid, Medicare, insurance, and agency standards.
- Adhere to all ethical standards and confidentiality regulations in compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
- Demonstrate professionalism by adhering to all agency policies, procedures, and regulatory standards while contributing to a culture of accountability, integrity, and operational excellence.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the organization’s mission, values, and strategic goals.
- Bachelor’s Degree, master’s degree or Ph.D. in clinical counseling or social work from an accredited university
- Licensed as a clinical counselor or social worker (LSW, LISW/LPC, LPCC)
- Excellent professional oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with diverse individuals, families, and team members.
- Effectively interpret and understand clients and identify a unique approach to treatment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a demonstrated capacity to address complex individual and family needs.
- Strong organizational skills and time management skills.
