Job Overview

Tool Room Machinist 1st Shift – Chardon, OH

• Set up and operate grinders (outside diameter, inside diameter, and surfaces)
• Create, edit and optimize CNC lathe programs (G‑code and/or conversational)
• Set up and operate manual and CNC mills
• Set up and operate band saws and cut saws
• Set up and operate CNC lathes (tooling, work holding, offsets)
• Set up and operate manual lathes
• Perform miscellaneous layout and handwork
• Work quickly and accurately under time constraints
• Verify conformance of finished workpiece(s) to specifications using various measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Detail-oriented to check work for accuracy and safety
• Experience with MIG & TIG welding (a plus)
• Experience with Gibbs Cam, AutoCAD, Solid Works (a plus)
• 5 years’ experience in tool room machine shop environment required
• Skilled in operating a variety of tooling machines

1st shift: 5:45AM to 4:15PM, Monday to Thursday. Overtime available.

$25 to $33 per hour, DOE. Rate increase may occur after proficiency in certain skills and fulfillment of training.
