Position Summary
Responsible for selling, receiving, and delivering parts and accessories in a fast-paced parts counter environment. This role requires prior parts counter experience, including direct customer interaction, accurate parts lookup, and inventory handling. Provides in-store customer service, supports service technicians with timely parts fulfillment, and contributes to overall organizational growth through product knowledge and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize parts counter experience to promote and sell products and services that meet customer and equipment needs
- Accurately identify, source, and supply parts to Service Technicians to minimize downtime
- Provide exceptional walk-in and phone-based customer service at the parts counter
- Assist with merchandising, displays, and showroom organization to drive sales
- Receive and verify incoming shipments; properly stock inventory and manage Machine Down and Stock Orders
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient parts department
- Proactively follow up on parts shortages and expedite orders by coordinating with management and vendors
- Ensure departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles are maintained and in proper working condition
- Support team operations and perform additional duties as assigned
- Previous parts counter experience required (agriculture, construction, automotive, or similar industry preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of parts lookup systems; experience with John Deere Parts Catalog or similar platforms preferred
- Basic data entry and computer skills with attention to detail
- Solid understanding of machinery and equipment components
- Strong communication and customer service skills in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- High School diploma or equivalent experience required
- Forklift certification preferred
