Perform engineering calculations to select and size equipment for manufacturing

Lead process transfer from lab scale to plant operations

Apply chemistry knowledge to evaluate reactions, equipment needs, and process risks

Use Aspen or similar modeling software for simulations and process design

Develop and maintain process documentation (chem plates, SOPs, procedures)

Support validation activities for equipment and processes

Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives

Assist with upcoming expansion projects: writing procedures, defining control specifications, validating equipment

Support new customer processes: documentation, operator training, and manufacturing readiness

Ensure compliance with GMP, safety standards, and quality expectations

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering

Experience in Quality Assurance: deviations, root cause analysis, fishbone, Lean Six Sigma

Strong documentation skills (SOPs, procedures, quality records)

Ability to evaluate how prior experience transfers into pharma/GMP environments

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Understanding of GMP manufacturing and process transfer (preferred)

Safety or experience with safety reviews (preferred)

Exposure to validation activities and regulatory documentation

Expert Level

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charles City, IA.

The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $53.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Charles City, IA.
