The City of Charles City is seeking a dedicated and skilled Development Services Director for a full-time on-site position in Charles City, IA. This executive-level role reports to the City Administrator and plays a critical part in shaping long-term growth, overseeing regulatory compliance, managing staff, guiding capital improvement planning, and serving as staff liaison to the Planning & Zoning Commission.

• At least five years of progressively responsible municipal or development experience
• Supervisory or management experience
• Strong knowledge of land use, zoning, and development review processes
• Bachelors degree in urban planning, public administration, civil engineering, construction management or a related field.
