WhatYou’ll Do
The Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting and tax responsibilities for assigned clients while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. This role supports financial reporting, tax compliance, and client advisory needs through strong technical expertise and attention to detail. The Accountant serves as a trusted resource for clients, contributing to efficient operations, regulatory compliance, and high-quality service delivery.
- Maintain and manage the general ledger for assigned clients.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Assist with the preparation and review of financial statements and management reports.
- Research, identify, and resolve accounting discrepancies and reporting issues.
- Prepare and review individual, partnership, corporate, and other business tax returns.
- Conduct tax research and apply findings to client-specific situations and regulatory requirements.
- Support tax planning initiatives and year-round tax compliance activities.
- Assist with tax audits, notices, examinations, and regulatory inquiries.
- Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients, providing responsive and professional service.
- Communicate accounting, financial, and tax information clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Review work prepared by staff accountants and provide guidance, support, and constructive feedback.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 2-5 years of accounting, tax, or public accounting experience.
- CPA license or active progress toward CPA certification preferred.
- Experience preparing financial statements, reconciliations, and tax returns.
