JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE:
Social Studies Fair Coordinator

QUALIFICATIONS:Employed as a professional in Jefferson County School-based professional WV certified as teacher or administrator

RESPONSIBLE TO:Director of Secondary Instruction

RESPONSIBILITIES
AND PERFORMANCE
STANDARDS:

• Arrange for Judges, send post cards, assemble judges' packets
• Arrange food for judges
• Solicit donations for food for students
• Requisition tables and mats, arrange for delivery and pick
• Arrange for supervision of students during judging
• Arrange for custodian and sound
• Assemble fair box
• Arrange emcee, video-taping of county fair
• Invite Superintendent and Board Members to give out awards
• Attend all meetings
• Adhere to all deadlines
• Assist with regional and state fairs
• Assist with regional and state fairs
• Organize the county History Bowl
• Arrange the following for the country History Bowl-Judges, Announcers and Timekeepers
• Coordinate/Provide information to all middle schools (teachers, parents, and students) about the county competition
• Assist in the Regional WV History Bowl

ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION:

A successful work history and a minimum of three supervisory referencesrequired for consideration.
