PT Janitor - 6102 at GIANT
, located at 190 Flowing Springs Road, Charles Town, WV. Minimum 4‑hour shifts, full‑time opportunities for entry‑level cleaners in retail store positions. Join us to keep our facilities clean and welcoming for customers and communities.
Clean office spaces, restrooms, break and lunchroom areas; remove trash; operate floor cleaner and power washers; clean spills; maintain a safe, healthy environment.
Duties and Responsibilities- Review the work schedule, check equipment and supplies at the start of each shift, comply with PPE requirements.
- Clean and vacuum floors in office and conference spaces.
- Clean and mop tile floors in restrooms and break areas.
- Remove all trash, operate compactor and bailer, clean spills, and use power washer to clean sidewalks.
- Dust and wash surfaces, mirrors, glass, and equipment in break rooms, lunchrooms, and restrooms.
- Resupply items as needed.
- Set up floor cones to designate potentially hazardous floor conditions.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations in order to complete duties satisfactorily.
- Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements for this position.
- Must be able to use or learn to use the equipment and tools used for the job.
- Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 30 or 60 days.
- Must read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to job and safety regulations.
- Must meet the company performance standards, including regular attendance.
- Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
- Must agree to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.
- Shift hours: minimum 4‑hour shifts or longer depending on business needs.
- Job cycles: continual max.
- Lift/carry: up to 50 lbs.
- Stand: 55%, sit: 0%, walk: 45%.
- Category IV: lifting, carrying, P/P up to 50 lbs.
- Max pull static: 20 lbs.
- Team members understand company policy and procedures as described in the policy manual and team member handbook.
