Ferretti Search is partnering with a growing manufacturing organization to hire a Supply Chain Manager for its Charleston facility. This newly created position will lead material flow, inventory management, planning, and warehouse operations across raw materials, work in process, and finished goods.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, this leader will assess current processes, identify opportunities, and implement measurable improvements in inventory, intralogistics, warehouse utilization, and customer responsiveness.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN
  • Lead end-to-end material flow across raw materials, work in process, and finished goods.
  • Develop strategies to reduce inventory while supporting production and customer demand.
  • Use ABC analysis and other data-driven methods to improve inventory positioning and working capital.
  • Improve warehouse utilization, rack storage, and shop-floor material flow.
  • Strengthen inbound and outbound logistics, including freight and imported materials.
  • Establish KPIs for inventory accuracy, lead times, fulfillment, throughput, and working capital.
  • Apply lean tools to eliminate waste and improve supply chain performance.
  • Lead scheduling, materials planning, shipping, receiving, and warehouse personnel.
REQUIRED BACKGROUND
  • 10+ years of supply chain experience in manufacturing.
  • Proven success improving inventory, material flow, warehouse operations, or intralogistics.
  • Strong lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
  • Advanced Excel and supply chain analysis skills.
  • Experience leading planning, scheduling, shipping, receiving, or warehouse teams.
  • Knowledge of inbound and outbound freight, including imported materials.
  • Ability to combine strategic planning with hands-on execution.
ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE OF INTEREST
  • SAP, JD Edwards, WMS, rack storage, or warehouse automation experience.
  • Steel or related heavy manufacturing experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or Lean Six Sigma, APICS, CPIM, or CSCP certification.
