Owen Motor Group, Inc. is looking for a passionate and driven Motorsports Sales Associate to join our team in Charleston, IL! This is an exciting opportunity to turn your love of powersports and motorsports into a rewarding career, helping customers find their perfect ride. As a Motorsports Sales Associate, you will grow our customer base by identifying potential customers, keeping in touch with existing customers, and making sure that everyone has a positive purchasing experience. You will greet guests and build rapport, answer questions about vehicles, and facilitate test drives/rides. Mentorship programs, ongoing education, competitive bonuses, and opportunity for growth are available to our sales associates.
This is a great position for someone with strong interpersonal skills and sales experience.
- Greet customers as they arrive at the dealership
- Create a professional environment that builds rapport and puts customers at ease
- Assist customers in selecting motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, or other motorsports vehicles that meet their needs and budget
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive repeat business and referrals
- Present and demonstrate motorsports vehicle features, specifications, and performance capabilities
- Conduct test drives/rides
- Negotiate sales contracts and financing options with customers while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly individual sales targets
- Stay current on new inventory, manufacturer promotions, and industry trends
- Collaborate with the service and finance departments to ensure a seamless customer experience
- Use CRM software to maintain a customer database you will use to drive sales
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Previous sales experience, preferably in motorsports, powersports, or automotive retail is preferred
- Genuine passion for motorsports, powersports, or recreational vehicles
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset and ability to work independently
- Proficiency with CRM software and basic computer applications
- Valid state-issued driver's license and clean driving record are required (Class M Endorsement is a PLUS!)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays
