Accounts Payable Specialist - Manufacturing | SAP
Location: Upstate South Carolina

They are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support daily AP operations, vendor payments, and month-end close activities. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with prior AP experience in a manufacturing or structured accounting environment.
What You Get to Do- Process vendor invoices accurately and timely, including 3-way matching (PO, goods receipt, invoice)
- Review invoices for accuracy, approvals, and policy compliance
- Resolve invoice discrepancies with Purchasing, Warehouse, and vendors
- Maintain vendor master data and supporting documentation
- Prepare and process vendor payments (ACH, wire, checks)
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status and balances
- Assist with month-end close, AP accruals, and cut-off procedures
- Prepare and review AP aging reports
- Support internal and external audits related to Accounts Payable
- Enter and maintain AP transactions in SAP and invoice management systems
- Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and efficiency
- 2+ years of Accounts Payable or related accounting experience
- Prior experience working with an ERP system (SAP strongly preferred)
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and AP processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, SUMIF, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Experience supporting month-end close is a plus
- Manufacturing or international company experience preferred
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
