What You’ll Do
- Support the Controller in overseeing daily accounting operations across multiple locations and entities
- Play a key role in monthly, quarterly, and year-end close and GAAP financial reporting
- Review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and complex accounting activity
- Help maintain and improve internal controls, policies, and accounting processes
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and special financial projects
- Partner with operations and department leaders to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Support audits, tax filings, and system improvements
- Mentor and support members of the accounting team
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred)
- 4–6+ years of progressive accounting experience (Staff Accountant -> Senior Accountant -> Accounting Manager, etc.)
- Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting experience
- Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
- ERP experience required (Encompass or VIP a strong plus)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Experience in distribution, manufacturing, or multi-entity environments a plus
