Senior Accountant Lead for Assets will report directly to the Assets Manager. The position will oversee up to three Accountants on the Assets team. Responsibilities include overseeing and assisting with monthly recording and analysis of intercompany accounts, monthly inventory adjustments (as well as coordinating with Supply Chain on year-end summary counts) and assists with the annual single audit on federal funding.
Also assist with prepaids, other AR, grants and other items as needed.
Job Description
Minimum: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business with multiple accounting courses and five (5) years of related professional work experience; or a related degree and six (6) years or more of progressively responsible accounting and financial reporting experience specific to the healthcare industry.
Preferred: A Master's degree in Accounting or Business and six (6) years of related professional work experience in a large and highly complex hospital/healthcare system; CPA, CMA or CHFP. Ability to work effectively to produce results and meet deadlines in a fast paced and highly complex organization, including the ability to plan, organize and multi-task large volumes of work and projects, professionally interact and communicate with all levels of internal and external customers, both orally and in writing;
guide and manage staff. Strong analytical skills with a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook and Access - MS PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat are a plus.
