We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to support daily financial operations for an automotive organization in North Charleston, South Carolina. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone with prior automotive accounting experience who enjoys accurate, detail-driven work and wants to build a long-term career in the industry. In this role, you will help maintain organized financial records, process accounting transactions, and contribute to a dependable back-office operation in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices, payment records, and related accounting documents with a strong focus on accuracy and completeness.
• Record incoming and outgoing financial transactions, ensuring entries are properly coded and posted to the correct accounts.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including tracking payments, receipts, and outstanding items.
• Prepare checks, statements, vouchers, and routine financial reports to assist with day-to-day accounting operations.
• Review business documents for discrepancies and resolve issues by verifying totals, charges, credits, and supporting details.
• Maintain organized accounting files and data entry records so information can be retrieved quickly and audited efficiently.
• Assist with calculating adjustments such as refunds, freight-related amounts, and other transaction-based charges as needed.
