We are hiring for an Accountant role with growth opportunity and competitive pay!
Role Responsibilities- Review and reconcile accounting transactions for accuracy and completeness.
- Execute period-end responsibilities while ensuring compliance with processing deadlines.
- Support the Accounting Department through ad hoc reporting and special projects as needed.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate effectively with departments such as Administration, Project Management, Estimating, and Site Work Crews.
- Communicate with vendors and customers to resolve financial discrepancies promptly.
- Assist with clerical parts of closing, such as reconciliations (bank, vendor accounts, payable accounts, equipment activity).
- Generate reports for different parts of the company's divisions.
- Facilitate check runs.
- Work in the General Ledger (GL).
- Perform job costing.
- Experience in financial reporting, including bank reconciliations and balance sheets.
- Full-cycle accounting experience, including journal entries, general ledger, month-end processes, audits, and reconciliations.
- Construction industry experience is a huge plus.
- Strong software skills, including proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charleston, SC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
