Build your accounting career with East West Hospitality in Charleston. We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Financial Accountant to join our Greater Charleston Regional Accounting Team. Working closely with our Regional Controller, you will gain hands‑on experience across the full accounting cycle while supporting a diverse portfolio of community associations and multifamily properties.
This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional—or a recent accounting or finance graduate ready to grow—who wants broad exposure to property accounting, increasing responsibility, and the opportunity to develop alongside an experienced team.
What You Will Do:- Support the full accounting cycle for a portfolio of community associations and multifamily residential properties
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and financial records across multiple properties and entities
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing, allocations, deposits, receivables, and account reconciliations
- Prepare monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations and research accounting discrepancies
- Assist with month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, prepaid expenses, and other adjusting entries
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, budget‑to‑actual reports, and supporting schedules
- Support annual property budgets, forecasts, financial analysis, and reserve account tracking
- Assist with annual audits, reviews, tax preparation, and year‑end reporting
- Partner with property managers and operational teams to answer accounting questions and provide accurate financial information
- Help maintain strong accounting practices, internal controls, and organized supporting documentation
- Participate in special projects, process improvements, and cross‑training across the regional accounting portfolio

Employment Type:Full Time, Year Round;
Hourly, Non-Exempt
$28.85–$32.68 per hour (approximately $60,000–$68,000 annually based on a 40-hour workweek), with the final hourly rate based on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience. This is a full‑time, non‑exempt position eligible for overtime.
Schedule:Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm, with occasional adjusted hours based on workload and business needs.

You enjoy digging into the details, researching discrepancies, and producing accurate work, while also being able to communicate financial information clearly with both accounting and operational teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- 1–3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, property accounting, or related experience preferred; recent graduates with relevant coursework or internship experience are encouraged to apply
- Working knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger accounting
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation preferred
- Strong Excel skills and comfort learning new accounting and financial reporting systems
- Strong organization, time management, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple entities and monthly deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail
- A collaborative mindset, professional judgment, and a desire to learn and grow
- Experience with community association, HOA, condominium, apartment, or multifamily accounting is a plus, but not required.
