Job Description Summary

Serves as the Department of Neurology ACGME Fellowship Program Coordinator for the Vascular Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology, and Epilepsy Fellowship Programs and functions as the primary administrative and operational leader supporting program directors in all aspects of fellowship administration. Responsible for independently coordinating complex educational programs, ensuring ongoing compliance with ACGME, ABPN, NRMP, institutional, state, and federal requirements. Serves as the principal liaison between fellows, faculty, Graduate Medical Education, institutional leadership, and external regulatory agencies.

Provides advanced program administration, operational oversight, data management, accreditation support, recruitment coordination, and budget monitoring for multiple fellowship programs. Also serves as backup coordinator for the Neurology Residency Program.

Job Purpose

MUSC Minimum Training And Experience Requirements

A bachelor's degree and two years relevant program experience.

Preferred Training And Experience Requirements
  • A bachelors degree and three years relevant program experience. Candidate must have the ability to work with a diverse group of people, must be able to multi task. Experience with administration support for higher education or Academic Universities.
Additional Knowledge, Skill, Ability Preferred
  • Prior experience in Graduate Medical Education or another educational field, (i.e. teacher/educator) preferred.
  • Must have working knowledge of computer and software applications including Microsoft Office.
  • Highly organized and ability to work independently and. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels. Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.

Job Duties
  • 35% – Fellowship Program Administration and Accreditation Management

Serves as the primary administrative coordinator for the Department of Neurology ACGME-accredited Fellowship Programs, including Vascular Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology, and Epilepsy.
