Project Control Clerk (Production Control Clerk) - Facilities Support Services
Job Summary: The Project Control Clerk (Production Control Clerk) supports contract operations by managing work order control, dispatching, tracking, and documentation functions for facilities maintenance and support services "onsite" at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Charleston, SC.
This role serves as a central coordination point for receiving, recording, assigning, and tracking service requests and maintenance activities. The Project Control Clerk ensures all work is properly documented, scheduled, and communicated to support timely and compliant execution of contract requirements. The position directly supports operational teams, management, and Government stakeholders by maintaining accurate records and ensuring efficient work control processes.
Location: Charleston, SC
Salary: $27.05 per hour + $5.09 Per Hour = $32.14 per hour (Salary may be negotiable and may be increased based on relevant experience and qualifications.)
Responsibilities:
Receive, record, and process service requests and work orders from customers including building occupants, staff, visitors, and Government personnel
Input, track, and manage work orders within the maintenance management system to ensure accuracy and completeness
Prepare, assign, and distribute work orders to appropriate service groups, crews, or departments based on scope and priority
Dispatch work orders and communicate task requirements, updates, and special instructions to field personnel using radio, phone, or electronic systems
Monitor work order status and ensure timely completion in accordance with contract performance requirements
Maintain complete and accurate records of all service requests, work orders, and maintenance activities
Track and verify satisfactory completion of services and document outcomes for reporting and quality control purposes
Compile and record production and operational data from service requests, work tickets, and maintenance activities
Maintain asset-related records, including equipment data, service history, and maintenance documentation
Develop, generate, and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance schedules
Dispatch scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to appropriate personnel or work groups
Record completed work, including labor hours, materials used, and task completion status
Update and maintain asset records and maintenance history within designated systems
Generate reports related to work order status, production data, labor tracking, and maintenance performance
Support planning and scheduling functions by maintaining visibility of workload and resource allocation
Ensure all documentation and data entry follow prescribed procedures and contract requirements
Maintain organized files and documentation for audit readiness and Government review
Coordinate with supervisors, managers, and operational staff to ensure alignment of work priorities and schedules
Support Quality Control and reporting requirements by providing accurate and timely documentation
Maintain confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive information in accordance with contract and Privacy Act requirements
Support communication flow between departments to ensure efficient execution of maintenance and service activities

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of three (3) years of experience performing work order control, dispatching, scheduling, and production control functions as described above
Experience working with maintenance work order systems or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
Experience supporting facilities maintenance, operations, or service-based environments preferred
Required Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to input, track, and manage data within electronic systems
Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills
Ability to manage multiple work orders and priorities simultaneously
Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry
Effective oral and written communication skills in English
Ability to coordinate with multiple teams and communicate clearly with field personnel and management

Must support a fast-paced, multi-service operational environment
May be required to support extended hours based on workload and operational needs
Must comply with all contract safety, operational, and administrative requirements
Must maintain professional standards of conduct required for federal facilities
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to obtain a favorable adjudication via a DHS background investigation and maintain suitability clearance.
Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident with work authorization.
