Sanders Brothers Construction Company, Inc. is actively seeking individuals to enter our company as a Management Trainee. Trainees will spend on average twelve months working and learning every aspect of the company. This position does not require any professional or managerial experience but does require a bachelor's degree. The candidate needs to be self‑motivated and have good oral and written communication skills.

Upon completion, senior management will determine the best position for the individual based upon the knowledge, skills and abilities gained and capabilities demonstrated during the training as well as the needs and best interests of the Company and the individual. The individual will then be assigned a supervisor who will monitor his or her work performance to ensure that it is at the very least satisfactory.

• Work alongside General Superintendents, Superintendents, Foremen, Project Managers, Estimators and Surveyors in a supportive training role
• Learn and contribute in a positive manner in all of the areas of Sanders Brothers Construction
• Work on specific or multiple job-sites during the training period as assigned
• To effectively lead a crew of 1 to 8 personnel on designated tasks
• Complete all required safety and training course
• Complete the entire training program

• Ability to perform and train requirements needed for selected employee developmental areas.
• Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 40 pounds of force regularly to move objects.
• Must have the ability to stand/sit for long periods of time.
• Flexible availability to include work hours needed to meet schedule; including nights, and weekends.
• Work environments will vary making it necessary to tolerate weather conditions, such as rain and extreme temperatures. Employees may be exposed to dust, dirt, varying temperatures, loud noises, etc.
• Ability to effectively communicate with all types of individuals involved in construction projects.
• Capable of interpreting and gather information from construction software, specifications, plan views, and details involved with various types of construction plans. Including, not limited to commercial, DOT, and residential.
• Demonstrates a proactive standard in regards to management of personnel and equipment
• Must be a college graduate of a 4 year undergraduate program.
• Must possess good oral/interpersonal and written communication skills.
• The candidate needs to be positive, enthusiastic and present him/herself in a professional manner.
• Must have strong self‑disciplined work habits.
• Candidate must have a South Carolina driver's license and a good motor vehicle driving record.
• Candidates are encouraged to provide a 3-year MVR at the time of application.
• All candidates must pass background prescreen and pre‑employment drug test.
