Project Manager
Job Location:
Charleston, SC Base Salary: $80K-$120K
Position Overview:
The Project Manager will oversee and coordinate construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role is pivotal in managing project teams, budgeting, and liaising with stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes in the heavy civil construction sector, particularly in utilities and environmental projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and finalize construction projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
- Coordinate project resources and activities, including subcontractors and suppliers.
- Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Manage project budget and ensure resource availability, while tracking project performance.
- Report and escalate to management as needed, and develop mitigation strategies for potential risks.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members to ensure project alignment and resolve issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management within heavy civil construction.
- Proven experience in utilities, environmental projects, excavation, water, and sewer construction.
