Service Superintendent

Position Overview

The Service Superintendent will oversee field operations, coordinate subcontractors and technicians, manage client relationships, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with the highest level of quality. Projects may include HVAC equipment replacements, chiller installations, piping modifications, ductwork, plumbing upgrades, booster pumps, mini-splits, and other commercial retrofit work.

• Manage day-to-day field operations for commercial mechanical retrofit and service projects
• Coordinate field labor, subcontractors, vendors, and equipment
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, facility managers, and project stakeholders
• Lead project scheduling, manpower planning, and execution
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget
• Read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents
• Oversee installation of HVAC, piping, plumbing, ductwork, and mechanical systems
• Lead shutdowns, after-hours work, and critical facility upgrades as needed
• Track labor productivity and maintain project performance goals
• Identify and communicate change order opportunities
• Maintain quality standards while minimizing callbacks and punch list items
• Promote and enforce OSHA and company safety requirements

• Experience working for a mechanical contractor is required
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC and plumbing systems
• Experience managing retrofit, renovation, service, and equipment replacement projects
• Ability to build strong relationships with clients, technicians, and subcontractors
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, and mechanical plans
• OSHA 30 certification preferred
