The Fordy group are partnered with a top heavy civil GC based in South Carolina. We are seeking an experienced Superintendent with a strong background in heavy civil and highway construction to oversee field operations on complex infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader with deep knowledge of earthwork, roadway construction, utilities, structures, and DOT-regulated projects

- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in heavy civil and/or highway construction
- Proven experience with DOT projects, roadway construction, earthwork, grading, utilities, drainage, and paving
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and schedules
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage multiple crews and subcontractors
- Strong commitment to jobsite safety and quality
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
- Experience working on state or federal DOT projects
- Knowledge of GPS machine control, surveying, or scheduling software
- OSHA 30 certification
- Background in bridge, structural concrete, or large‑scale infrastructure projects
