SJ Hamill Construction is seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join their team in Charleston, SC. This role involves operating a variety of construction equipment on marine and heavy civil projects, including cranes, dozers, and excavators. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in marine or heavy civil construction, a strong safety record, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Candidates should be physically fit, safety-conscious, and ready to travel as needed for project assignments.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an operator on Marine/Heavy Civil construction projects
• NCCCO Certification
• TWIC Card
• Proficiency in pre-shift inspections and mechanical issue identification
• Industry-level knowledge of safety and work site hazards
• Ability to operate hydraulic and friction cranes
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
• Willingness to travel and work out of town, including weekends and night shifts
• Physical ability to meet job demands (good eyesight, hearing, balance, and strength)
