Deliverables:
Content Creation & Distribution

  • Minimum of 20 social media posts per month across relevant platforms
  • Weekly posting cadence aligned with content calendar
  • Platform management (Instagram, Facebook, Linked In, You Tube as applicable)
Content Production
  • Minimum of 4 professionally edited short-form videos per month
  • Includes sizzle reels, event recaps, promotional videos, and educational reels
  • Optimized for vertical viewing and social distribution
Event Coverage
  • On-site coverage of designated Corridor events (travel required)
  • Delivery of a minimum of 20 high-quality, edited photos per event
  • Capture of video content suitable for short-form reels and promotional use
Reporting
  • Monthly analytics report outlining growth, engagement, reach, and performance trends
  • Recommendations for content strategy improvements
Core Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a monthly content calendar aligned with Corridor priorities
  • Translate research, grant impact, community stories, and programming into compelling digital narratives
  • Collaborate with leadership and program staff to ensure accurate cultural representation
  • Maintain brand consistency across all digital platforms
  • Support promotional campaigns for state summits, the annual Gullah Convening, anniversary initiatives, and fundraising efforts
Ideal Qualifications
  • 2–4 years experience managing social media for nonprofit, cultural, heritage, or mission-driven organizations
  • Demonstrated experience producing short-form video content and graphic design work
  • Strong photography skills (event photography required)
  • Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Cap Cut, or similar tools
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
  • Strong organizational and deadline management skills
  • Cultural awareness and respect for Gullah Geechee history and communities (strongly preferred)
Time Commitment

10–20 hours per week, with increased hours during major events and peak programming periods.
