FZ is headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan and focuses on serving customers throughout Michigan, Tennessee, and the Carolinas.

FZ is looking for an entry-level Assistant Estimator for the Charleston, SC office. This role will assist in the development of timely and accurate bid estimates. It will also help develop an understanding of business components and implications specific to estimating and cost control. Under close supervision, the Associate Estimator supports Senior Estimators and/or Estimators in the estimate preparation process for assigned projects.

  You actively pursue electrical and estimating knowledge, participate in jobsite walk-throughs, call vendors, and attend review meetings to ensure quote accuracy.

  You value and nurture relationships with customers, suppliers, vendors, and co-workers; you communicate effectively, respect differences, and collaborate to resolve conflicts.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required;
  Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.) required;
  Accubid and/or Bluebeam experience preferred.
• Electrical and/or construction experience (reading blueprints, etc.) strongly preferred.
• Strong mathematical, organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Highly detail oriented.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Passion for continuous learning.
• Ability to travel regionally to project sites as needed.
