The Project Coordinator is essential to our success, leading the charge on our pre-construction planning process! You will be working closely with our Project Managers to coordinate the fast-paced execution of multiple concurrent renovation and remodeling projects. You'll serve as a critical support function, ensuring smooth communication, organized documentation, and efficient day-to-day operations between the office, field teams, clients, and vendors across our high-volume project pipeline.
Your design background and drafting skills will help you coordinate material selections, specifications, and design intent throughout each project lifecycle. This role offers tremendous opportunity to develop design and construction expertise, process management skills, and leadership capabilities by working alongside experienced project managers in a growing, entrepreneurial business.
- Serve as primary communication point with clients regarding project updates, design selections, material specifications, scheduling, and project milestones - with Project Manager oversight.
- Select materials, finishes, furniture, and accessories that meet style guidelines, clients' design requirements, and budget constraints.
- Create and/or manage the production of renderings to help clients visualize design concepts.
- Produce drawings, plans, and specifications using CAD software.
- Support Project Managers in coordinating daily construction activities and timelines across multiple active projects.
- Coordinate procurement of materials and ensure timely deliveries to job sites.
- Manage invoicing, budget tracking, and pay applications with the accounting team.
- Organize site meetings and document meeting notes and action items.
- Work with Project Managers to identify opportunities to improve processes and streamline workflow efficiency for faster project turnover.
- Bridge design intent and construction execution by coordinating with designers, clients, and field teams under Project Manager guidance.
- Support process standardization to enable scaling of the business.
- Bachelor's degree in Architectural Design, Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in construction administration, project coordination, or design-related role (recent graduates with strong design portfolios considered).
- Proficiency with CAD or Revit software; ability to create and edit floor plans, elevations, and construction drawings.
- Position requires currently residing in Charleston, SC.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software (e.g., Buildertrend).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with residential renovation, remodeling, and restoration terminology.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
- Willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic, entrepreneurial culture.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Project Managers and other team members.
- Experience with CAD and Revit.
- Familiarity with Sketch Up or other design visualization software.
- Prior experience managing kitchen, bathroom, or other renovation projects.
- Experience with high-volume, shorter-duration projects.
