Gastroenterology Physician

A well-established, patient-centered healthcare organization in the Charleston, South Carolina area is actively seeking a full-time Gastroenterologist to join its expanding health team.

This position offers a balanced mix of outpatient and inpatient care in a thriving coastal community known for its quality of life and medical innovation.

Position Overview

• Provide comprehensive gastroenterology care in both outpatient and inpatient settings

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures (EGD, colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, etc.)

• Diagnose and manage a broad range of gastrointestinal and liver diseases

• Evaluate and treat conditions such as GERD, IBD, IBS, hepatitis, pancreatitis, and colorectal disorders

• Collaborate with colorectal surgery, oncology, primary care, and hospitalist teams

• Participate in shared call coverage

• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the EMR

• Opportunities to engage in quality improvement initiatives and program development

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology

• Eligible for South Carolina State medical licensure

• Active or eligible DEA registration

• Strong procedural and clinical skills

• Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care
