Job Description

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Department of Pediatrics seeks a Pediatrician to join six pediatricians in 3 thriving practice sites in the Greater Charleston area. This position is expected to roughly divide time at the Summey Medical Pavilion Primary Care practice, the new MUSC Children's Health Daniel Island practice, and the Maybank Highway John’s Island practice. The provider will be a full member of the Division of General Pediatrics, sharing newborn and circumcision weekend and holiday coverage at the Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital.

There are ample opportunities for teaching and if desired spending a week in the in the newborn weekly rounding schedule if desired.

Ideal Candidates
  • Medical Doctor, or equivalent
  • Board Certified or Eligible by the ABP
  • Commitment to MUSC’s educational missions
  • Eligible for licensure in South Carolina
  • Strong interest in working with both typical as well as medically complex children
  • Comfort with seeing Level I newborns, performing newborn circumcisions, and seeing outpatient health maintenance and sick visits
