The Role

You're curious about what makes a story land and eager to learn how strong PR gets done. In this hands‑on role, you support media outreach, messaging, and day‑to‑day campaign execution across clients.

You help research journalists, draft materials, and assist with pitching while building confidence in how to position stories effectively. You show up organized and prepared, making sure timelines, notes, and follow‑ups don't slip through the cracks.

You contribute ideas, ask smart questions, and look for ways to improve your work. You're dependable, detail‑oriented, and ready to grow into more responsibility over time.

What You’ll Do
  • Support the execution of PR campaigns across clients and industries
  • Assist with general administrative responsibilities, including organizing and saving documents and images to the server to maintain clean, accessible files
  • Build and maintain media lists, research outlets and journalists, and track editorial calendars
  • Support development and maintenance of editorial content calendars across accounts
  • Draft and edit press materials, including pitches, press releases, media alerts, fact sheets, and briefing documents
  • Assist with media outreach and follow‑ups, building confidence in pitching and story positioning
  • Monitor media coverage daily, track placements, analyze sentiment, scan competitors, and compile insights that will help the PR team inform strategy
  • Prepare client‑facing materials such as weekly updates, meeting agendas, recap notes and next step follow‑ups
  • Support media events, interviews, and press opportunities through coordination and logistics
  • Maintain timelines, notes, and deliverables in the project management system
  • Stay up to date on relevant news, industry trends, and the evolving media landscape
  • Actively participate in professional development opportunities and demonstrate a growth mindset in feedback and learning
  • Contribute research and ideas during brainstorms and planning discussions
What You Bring
  • 1+ years of experience in public relations, communications, or a related field
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with attention to detail
  • Curiosity about how AI is shaping communications and openness to learning new tools and approaches
  • Interest in media and storytelling, with a drive to develop strong pitching skills
  • Solid organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Clear, professional communication skills
  • A collaborative mindset and openness to feedback
  • A proactive attitude and a willingness to take initiative on tasks
