Culinary Instructor

Job Responsibilities

This position reports directly to the Department Head and serves as lead instructor for assigned programs. Primary responsibilities include teaching courses through systematically planned and delivered instruction, designing and developing curriculum, evaluating student performance, and advising students.

Candidate must possess a minimum of an associate degree in culinary, baking, and pastry or a related field. The preferred candidate will have a bachelor's or master's degree in a related field and teaching experience in a secondary or post‑secondary culinary arts program.

• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a secondary or post‑secondary culinary arts program
• At least 3 years of culinary experience as a sous chef or chef
• Current Serv Safe Manager Certification and/or ACF Certified Chef de Cuisine (or higher) credential
• Experience working in environments with continually evolving information technology
• Preferred:
  Experience in curriculum development
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends at various college and community sites
• Demonstrates resourcefulness, innovation, and problem‑solving skills
• Shows initiative, sound judgment, and ability to work independently
• Applies strong customer service standards and procedures
