Responsibilities
  • Welcome families and build strong, trusting relationships with parents and babies
  • Supervise infants closely and create a safe, calming environment
  • Support hygiene routines like diapering and gentle clean‑up
  • Provide routine care—diaper changes with warmth and attentiveness
  • Encourage early language by talking, singing, and engaging with babies often
  • Share daily updates with families through Playground
  • Use positive reinforcement to guide early behaviors
  • Nurture babies toward age‑appropriate developmental milestones
  • Promote healthy feeding habits and assist with bottles and meals
  • Warm bottles safely and support babies during feeding
  • Keep your classroom clean, sanitized, and organized
  • Maintain required training hours (DSS ABC CACFP First Steps)
  • Follow center and state regulations to ensure high‑quality care
  • Create a peaceful, organized classroom that supports development
  • Support your team with any additional tasks as needed

Requirements
  • Develop a careful and creative program suitable for infants
  • Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach infants
  • Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self‑esteem
  • Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.)
  • Track children's progress and report to parents
  • Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children's background and psyche
  • Collaborate with other educators
  • Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
  • Obtain ECD 101
