Overview

We are looking for a Senior Learning Consultant focused on the Mastery Connect product (dedicated on-site) to work with large institutions from multiple markets including K12, Higher Ed, Business & Government, as part of our Learning Services Dedicated Consulting team.

The role aims to deepen and elevate client use of Instructure products to meet organization-specific initiatives and pedagogical goals through project management, change leadership, customized consultation, resource development, pedagogical expertise, and hands-on targeted coaching.

A successful Senior Learning Consultant will build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to understand and prioritize their needs, providing exceptional value and a positive experience.

What you will be doing
  • Provide guidance through the use of best practices in assessment and Mastery Connect.
  • Support the customer’s vision for using Mastery Connect and other Instructure tools and products.
  • Share strategies for change leadership, understand current and future states, and support the organization’s vision.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand and support communication, training, and engagement plans and timelines, and mitigate risks.
  • Develop an assessment strategy addressing instructional approaches, student experience, program development, faculty interactions, and assessment needs.
  • Coordinate programmatic strategy during assessment development and support communication, training, and engagement plans/timelines, mitigating risks.
  • Curate and create plans, resources, and materials to address customer needs.
  • Develop adoption resources and professional development materials, including best practices for formative assessment, curriculum maps, benchmarks, and updates on features.
  • Assist with deployment-related assessment strategy and promotion of resources to enhance engagement; provide best-practice guidance on Mastery Connect projects.
  • Sustain growth by reviewing data and setting next-phase goals.
  • Support staff with recommendations of product best practices aligned to the institution’s instructional framework; provide workshops for admins, PD and curriculum leaders, instructional coaches, and other staff.
  • Assist with product use; provide feedback and coach staff through changes.
  • Assist with Mastery Connect assessment development, deployment, and facilitation for formative assessment, curriculum maps, and benchmarks; provide feedback on assessments and coach staff through changes.
  • Build capacity of institution experts with targeted consulting sessions and ongoing coaching; provide mentorship and support as appropriate.
  • Provide expertise in Mastery Connect administration, including Canvas LMS integration.
  • Attend meetings for planning and progress updates.
  • Complete other tasks and assignments that support the customer’s use of Instructure products.
Qualifications
  • At least five years of Instructure product experience, including Mastery Connect best practices and creating engaging, accessible Canvas courses.
  • At least one year of experience with other Instructure tools.
  • At least one year in an educational leadership position overseeing a team that supports an LMS for pedagogical purposes; more is preferred.
  • Experience leading change, building relationships, and rolling out a technology platform to a large organization.
  • At least one year of experience building effective professional development for educators.
  • At least three years of teaching experience, including experience with a digital learning environment.
  • Knowledge of technology adoption strategies, PD protocols, and educational technology best practices.
