Early Childhood Education
To provide comprehensive Early Intervention services to families of children with sensory disabilities (ages birth-six) in the form of Family Training. Provides special instruction in the child and families' natural environment. Designs learning environments and activities that promote the infant's or toddler's acquisition of skills in a variety of developmental areas including cognitive processes and social interaction. Utilizes and updates prescribed lesson plans that reflect the unique needs of the child with sensory disabilities.
Conducts curriculum-based assessments and establishes reasonable outcomes for the child with IFSP team.
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Special Education, Human Services or Allied Health Services from an accredited institution and one year's experience working with infants and toddlers.
Experience preferred in early childhood development, childhood disabilities.
