We are looking for a new team member who will have strong competencies in the field of IT and will work on interdisciplinary processes. The tasks will encompass ongoing support and troubleshooting in the running business. The tasks encompass work in projects to support internal customers and provide IT specific solutions by deciding on adequate tools.

• Install, support and ensure function of IT Systems considering interfaces, interdisciplinary processes and functionalities to support the Paperless Factory (PLF)
• Manage/solve business, technical and organizational problems using standard software available in the company or coordinating third‑party services in line with system management specifications.
• Ensure ongoing operation by setting system parameters and monitoring system.
• Test, implement and monitor new IT systems scopes according to specifications
• Analyze and simulate processes for the optimization of IT systems
• Perform ongoing support and troubleshooting
• Capture, track and analyze the technical requirements described by users and clarify the performance range.
• Advise technological solutions and define the range of services
• Prepare contributions to IT specifications (e.g. ePeople, SAP, GSS, WDI, CGIS, CVI, PPC)
• Improve and implement methods, standards and tools for smaller systems (e.g. software applications)
• Manage smaller projects in own area of responsibility within Assembly
• May perform other duties as required

• Associate’s degree in relevant degree field and 2 years of experience in the field of Assembly, Production Planning, technical service or other relevant field or equivalent combination of education and expertise
• Lean / MPS
  - Basic knowledge & experience
• Communication competence
• Ability to quickly learn systems, processes, and procedures, grasp technical concepts
• Ability to manage competing demands, multiple priorities, while remaining adaptable and flexible
• Ability to wholly comprehend a situation, to think in complex relationships in a global environment
• Technical application knowledge about common IT systems and tools
• High sense of responsibility and able to work unsupervised

Mercedes-Benz Vans, LLC (“MBV”) is a plant in Ladson, South Carolina that assembles Sprinter vans for the U.S. and Canadian market under the brands Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner. The midsize Mercedes-Benz Metris vans are also reassembled at this location.

Mercedes-Benz Vans, LLC has invested more than 500 million U.S. dollars in the new Sprinter plant, which officially opened in 2018. Today the MBV facility provides more than 1,600 jobs and supports at least 600 additional jobs in the region through its suppliers. More than 200,000 Sprinter and Metris vans have been assembled in North Charleston and delivered to destinations across the U.S. since 2006.
