Position:
Structural Project Engineer II
Join Cranston, an HFW partner firm, to assist in developing, planning, coordinating, and executing engineering work across multiple projects. This role offers increasing autonomy, with assignments performed independently or with progressively less supervision, while receiving guidance from Principal and senior engineers on complex or unusual challenges. The Structural Project Engineer II is expected to apply a broad knowledge of engineering principles and practices and demonstrate the ability to work self-sufficiently while contributing to most aspects of project delivery.

- Communicate with clients to identify the scope of engineering services required
- Communicate with Technical Manager for project guidance and status
- Perform accurate analysis and design to fulfill the scope of engineering services
- Provide cost estimates as required
- Provide final construction documents conforming to the scope for Technical Manager review and approval
- Conduct periodic construction site observations and attend project meetings as required
- May assist with monthly billing of clients for work completed
- Assist in the preparation of proposals
- Routinely communicate with Principals, Team Leads, Technical Managers, CADD technicians, Engineering technicians, Surveyors, government agencies, contractors, subcontractors, and administrative staff
- Perform other incidental and related duties as required
- Experience:
1+ years of Structural Engineering experience. EIT required; P.E. is a plus - Skills:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; computer literate with continued development of software programs including REVIT, RISA, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, etc.; must be a self-starter - Education:
BS in Civil or Structural Engineering or technical equivalent
