Manages and supports the new engine project. Develops project objectives for this complex project by applying best practices. Monitors project target parameters such as budget, scope, and timeline. Works with a global team network to ensure the fulfillment of the highly demanding project requirements.
Responsibilities- Manage and support engineering projects from feasibility studies through to final acceptance, design and construction activities.
- Design, communicate, and implement a project plan.
- Monitor project progress and performance against the project plan.
- Analyze drawings and communicate discrepancies to vendors for corrections.
- Prepare engineering designs and work specifications.
- Conduct project meetings and prepare status reports; collect, analyze, and summarize information and trends.
- Resolve operational problems and minimize delays using the most appropriate options or by improving existing approaches.
- Determine project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assign personnel to phases and elements; review bids from contractors.
- Support the setup of contacts with internal and external partners and worldwide external business partners.
- Apply root cause analysis to solve national and international problems.
- Provide support for manufacturing engineering assignments as needed.
- Receive input from project teams and working groups, and report to the project teams and committees.
- Help coordinate the work of junior team members.
- Participate in regularly scheduled team meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related area. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Technical understanding.
- High skill and knowledge of lean production systems.
- Good coordination, communication, and presentation skills.
- Confident with computer programs (e.g., Windows, Office).
